Organization

The shareholders of the corporation (National Association of Forensic Video, Inc.) shall designate an individual or individuals to serve in the capacity of Executive Director or Co-Executive Directors. The duties of the Executive Director is to oversee and manage the operation of the Association, its Administrative Office, and to establish an organization as necessary to fulfill those needs. Executive Directors will receive monetary compensation for their time and labor, as well as reimbursement for expenses.

Appointed by the Executive Directors shall be a body of Territorial Governors and Section Chairpersons. The TG’s shall be responsible for overseeing the activities of the local chapters within their regional jurisdiction. The TG will actively recruit new members and Corporate Sustainers, promote Certification & Training Seminars, and organize the local chapters. The TG may also be elected and serve as local chapter Officers, or not, depending on his/her availability to serve in that capacity and the outcome of the local elections.

Section Chairs will function similarly to the TG’s, except that their jurisdiction is determined by membership linked to a Special Interest Group, rather than a geographic region. Examples might include Visual Anthropology, BioMedical Videography, Forensic Audio.

At the discretion of the Executive Directors and the Shareholders of the Corporation, the Territorial Governors, Section Chairs, Seminar Organizers, Instructors, and hard-working Office Staff may  receive token compensation for their time and labor, as well as reimbursement for expenses. We believe that some compensation is the best way to motivate the Association's leadership into sacrificing their valuable time and personal resources on behalf of the Association and its general membership. "Thank You's" and Certificates of Appreciation are nice, but most people agree that checks are even better!

Because the nature of Forensic Video may involve access to the same or similar technology & techniques often employed by Law Enforcement and National Security, the Association reserves the right to deny or rescind membership to any individual engaged in criminal activity or considered by a 2/3 majority of the Membership Committee to be an individual not of good standing. At no time shall the Membership Committee render their decision on the basis of race, age, ethnic origin, gender, physical impairment, nor any other discriminatory criteria.

Notice: Effective Sept 30, 2006, the holding corporation (National Association of Forensic Video Inc.) was officially dissolved, and all company assets/liabilities transferred to Equipment Emporium Inc. (At the time, the Association was highly in debt to Equipment Emporium for having fronted start-up costs and monthly expenses.)  The Executive Directors made this decision due to lack of financial income to the organization, realizing that if the corporation was not dissolved before the end of the year, it would be liable for minimum state corporate taxes of $800 in 2007, along with accounting fees.

Equipment Emporium Inc. has offered to allow the Association to continue on as a "sub-division" until the organization is either financially secure and able to continue once again as a corporate entity; or the Association opts to completely disband.

We wish to point out that no salaries, commissions, expense accounts, nor other tangible compensation was paid out to any member or administrator.
